Deepening the crisis, the Electricity department employees stalled work, plunging large parts of the region into darkness. As a result of the power crisis, many trains have been cancelled. A fresh round of talks failed on Wednesday between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and the striking power sector employees, who are reportedly not stepping back.
