Aurangabad, Mar 19 (ANI): Farmers in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra are committing suicide after rain and hailstorm destroyed their yield. Unseasonal rains and intense hailstorm along with stormy winds destroyed ready to harvest crop, causing misery to farmers. A farmers' leader, Jayaji Suryawanshi, said that the death toll is not final as more reports can come.

AAP candidate quits poll fray, blames it on former Delhi minister Rakhi Birla

New Delhi, March 19 (ANI): A candidate of the Aam Aadmi Party Mahender Singh, who was going to contest for the upcoming general elections, withdrew his name and accused party colleague and former Delhi minister Rakhi Birla of demanding money from him. Uddhav Thackeray expresses desire to form government in New Delhi

Mumbai, March 19 (ANI): At a news conference in Mumbai on Wednesday Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, expressed his wish to form a government in New Delhi. It was speculated that in its effort to ensure victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections, the BJP looked to forge an alliance with the Maharashtra Nirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray. Rajnath Singh welcomes Jagdambika Pal, Raju Srivastava to BJP - Part - 2

New Delhi, March 19 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh welcomed veteran Congress Party leader Jagdambika Pal and Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate Raju Srivastava to his party on Wednesday, with less than a month to go for the general elections. Describing both Pal as a leader of high political standing, Singh said that his decision to join the BJP, would go a long way in strengthening the party on the national stage. He said that both Pal and Srivastava have been given significant roles in the party. Former Congress MP and Uttar Pradesh unit chief Jagdambika Pal had earlier this month resigned from the Lok Sabha as well as from the party, saying that the emerging Congress leadership did not need leaders like him. Pal, 63, has been a three-time legislator and minister in Uttar Pradesh.
