Madonna to perform at '2015 BRIT Awards' after 20yrs

New Delhi, Feb 4 (ANI): Madonna has officially confirmed that she is going to perform at The BRIT Awards 2015 after her last performance, which was 20 years back. 'Like A Virgin' singer took to her twitter account to broke the news and also attached a picture of BRIT statuette tied up in cords, which was her 'Rebel Heart' promo theme, a leading daily reported.Max Lousada, Chairman of BRITs said that Madonna was an icon, an innovator and an entertainer, and with this they are delighted to bring her back to the BRIT stage. The singer has still kept the surprise by keeping her performance tracks a secret, but most probably she will feature her new album ' Rebel Heart ' track in her performance. 'Badlapur' is a dark, multi-starrer film featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, Vinay Pathak, Divya Dutta and Huma Qureshi apart from the lead actors. In the film, Raghu, played by Dhawan, is a man on a mission of revenge or 'badla' which he has been nursing for 15 years. The Srinagar-Jammu highway remained shut as a result hundreds of trucks carrying essential commodities could not reach the godowns and markets. Srinagar-Jammu highway is an arterial road that connects Kashmir to the rest of the country making it a route of extreme importance- both for the state's economy and defence personnel. Another important link, Mughal Road, which connects Poonch and Rajouri districts with Shopian in the valley, was also shut down due to thick snow. At least nine dead after TransAsia airplane crashes into Taipei River

London, Feb 04 (ANI): A Taiwanese TransAsia Airways flight with more than 50 people aboard hit a bridge and crashed into a river near the capital Taipei on Wednesday morning, leaving at least nine people dead. According to media reports, the domestic flight ATR-72, carrying 53 passengers and five crew members, had just taken off from Taipei Songshan Airport and was headed to the outlying Kinmen islands, just off the coast of south-east China. Reportedly, the plane lost contact with flight controllers before it crashed into Keelung River near the city's downtown Sungshan airport. Rescue teams rushed to help survivors of the plane crash. Many passengers were wounded in the mishap. Reports suggest that there are still people trapped inside the plane. Feb 4, 2015

New Delhi, Feb 04 (ANI): Sunanda Pushkar's son, Shiv Menon, is expected to be interrogated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Delhi Police on Wednesday in connection with a probe related to her death in January last year. Sunanda's husband and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, television journalist Nalini Singh and former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh have been interrogated by the SIT so far. Last month, the police had said 51-year-old Sunanda was poisoned. A case of murder was registered on January 6.
