Bhubaneswar, Sept 06 (ANI): The Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) has quashed the court martial of former 33 Corps commander Lieutenant General P K Rath, one of the four generals indicted in the infamous Sukna land scam case that rocked the Army five years ago. The Court imposed. Rs 1 lakh fine on the Army for causing loss of honour to Rath. The Tribunal also blamed the respondents in the case which included former Army chief and current Union minister Gen. RSS magazine article on 'Love Jihad' receives political reactions

New Delhi/Lucknow/ Nagpur, Seo 06 (ANI): Politicos on Saturday reacted to the controversial publication of love jihad related content in two of the RSS magazines. 'Love jihad' refers to Hindu girls being allegedly converted to Islam after a love marriage. Two RSS magazines have published forceful conversion of Hindu women related content on their front covers. While one cover says "Is love blind or is it business?" the other reads "Love Jihad, reality or rhetoric?" NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that the agenda of RSS is to create terror in the country. SP leader Rajendra Choudhary said that the motive of the RSS behind these publications is to strike communal hatred and discord. Politicos react as BJP says it's ready for elections in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 06 (ANI): Commenting on the possibility of BJP forming a government in Delhi, BJP Delhi President Satish Upadhyay on Saturday said that the BJP is ready for fresh elections even if they are held tomorrow. He said that the people of Delhi will vote for the BJP in the same way that they did during Lok Sabha elections. The Congress and other parties had accused BJP for running away from the elections after Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung had appealed to the President to give permission to invite the single largest part to form its government. Manish Tewari said that if BJP is ready for the elections then the Governor should recommend the Election Commission that election in Delhi should take place with the rest of the states. NCP Leader, Majid Memon, commenting on the Delhi's political scenario said that since no party can prove its majority until and unless horse trading takes place, hence the best option would be that Delhi goes for polls all over again. Onboard/ Jammu, Sept 06 (ANI): Amid the massive disaster created by floods and downpour in Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday took an aerial survey of flood affected areas in the state. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Singh accompanied Singh. In Jammu, the authorities closed four bridges connecting two parts of the city after they suffered damage as River Tawi flowed above the danger mark. Authorities had also declared a disaster alert after two days of heavy rain hit villages across the state, causing the worst flooding in two decades. Udhampur, Sep 06 (ANI): A train bound to Katra in Jammu and Kashmir was halted after landslides and heavy rains caused the tracks to clog. New Delhi to Katra bound 'Shri Shakti Express' train was forced to halt at the Ramnagar railway station in Udhampur district of the state. Passengers said since the train has stopped the authorities have not done much to improve the situation. Srinagar, Sep 06 (ANI): Incessant rain disrupted the life of the common man as flood water entered homes and buildings in Kashmir. Authorities declared a disaster alert in the northern region after two days of heavy rain hit villages across the Kashmir valley, causing the worst flooding in two decades. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, said that the floods have so far claimed nearly 100 people, as rivers in the region flow above danger mark due to incessant rains. During a rescue operation, rescuers recovered the bodies of at least 50 members of a wedding party aboard an ill fated bus that was washed away by flash floods. A local, Farooq Ahmad, told that the administration has not taken concrete steps to drain the flood water out of residential areas. Karimganj, Sep 06 (ANI): In another shameful crime against women, two school girls were found dead in Karimganj district in Assam. Two Assam school girls, who had been missing from their homes since Wednesday, were found hanging from a tree on Thursday in the state's Karimganj district, close to the Bangladesh border. The police suspect that the girls were raped and then murdered. According to the police, the bodies have been recovered and sent for a post-mortem. Only after the post-mortem and forensic reports, will the police be able determine the cause of death and if the girls had been molested.
