Central govt deploys additional forces in strife-torn Manipur

Imphal, Sep 06 (ANI): NDA government deployed additional forces in strife torn northeastern Manipur state in wake of the road blockade called by a Naga group. Home Ministry rushed additional forces to assist the local administration and a top official to take stock of the rising tension. The additional paramilitary forces were sent to Manipur to be deployed along the national and state highways to ensure law and order in the state. Earlier, Rajnath Singh had reviewed the situation with Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and discussed preventive measures to ameliorate hardship of the people of Manipur. New Delhi, Sep 06 (ANI): Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott on Friday met his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in New Delhi and returned two antique statues ahead of delegation-level talks. In an apparent bid to remove an irritant between the two nations, Abbott handed over to Modi a statue of Lord Shiva, worth $5 million in the international market, that was illegally trafficked and a stone statue that had been displayed in an Australian gallery. Abbott also promised that Australia would never act as receiver of stolen goods. Later, Abbott sealed a civil nuclear deal to sell uranium to India in New Delhi, offering to ramp up supplies of energy to help the emerging Asian giant overcome chronic shortages. Hollywood was a buzz after reports of risqué photos of hot celebrities were released online. Actresses that are reportedly victims of the cyber attack include Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Krysten Ritter and Lea Michele. A publicist for "The Hunger Games" star called the published photos a “flagrant violation of privacy.” And this is not the first time this has happened. In 2012, racy pics of Mila Kunis, Scarlett Johansson and Christina Aguilera were also released online. The FBI is investigating. Assam, Sept 06 (ANI): There have been no fresh incidents of violence and curfew has been relaxed in Golaghat district.
