Fresh ceasefire violation kills one soldier in Kashmir, BJP slams govt

New Delhi, Oct 23 (ANI): A day after a BSF jawan was killed during the cross border firing by the Pakistani troops, the BJP on Wednesday slammed the Indian government for not taking strict action against them. The BJP said that no matter how many diplomatic talks are being held between the prime ministers of both the countries, Pakistan will not stop ceasefire violations until India hits back.

Ceasefire violation: BJP questions Pak govts inability to answer on issue

New Delhi, Oct 23 (ANI): After a fresh ceasefire violation by Pakistan killed one jawan in Kashmir even after Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde visited the country to talk over the same issue, BJP Vice President Vinay Katiyar questioned the Pakistan government on its inability to control such actions from its side or to answer on the issue. Katiyar also said that Pakistan will never accept its faults and India should take action on the same.

Ceasefire violation: Paks main aim is to hassle with India, says JD (U)

New Delhi, Oct 23 (ANI): As the ceasefire violation by Pakistan continued even after India’s Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde visited the country, killing one jawan in RS Pura region of Kashmir, JD (U) leader Sabir Ali said that Pakistan’s main aim is to hassle with India in any way. He further said that Pakistan runs with two types of government, one is democratic government and other is military and that military is powerful and mischievous enough to create troubles for India.

Maoists pose barrier to development, trigger panic to disrupt work

Latehar, Oct 23 (ANI): The only aim of Maoists infested in different parts of the country is to overthrow the present democratic structure by using violence as their primary weapon and to usher what they term as new social order. Giving birth to yet another trouble for the locals, Maoists in Latehar district of Jharkhand pasted threat posters at different places disrupting work in coalfields in the area and thereby hitting dispatch and production work. Police was called on at the spot and they helped dispatch some of the trucks carrying coal. General Manager of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) in Latehar, MK Mishra said that the departmental production is on but contractual production has been stalled.

Fresh ceasefire violation kills one soldier in Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir/ New Delhi, Oct 23 (ANI): One Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was killed and six others were injured as Pakistani troops resorted to heavy shelling at Indian positions at more than 30 locations along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde had reviewed security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Heavy firing from the Pakistan side was reported in the RS Pura and Pargawal sectors and continued for almost six hours throughout the night. Meanwhile, the BJP has condemned the issue and said that the government must take strong actions as Pakistan is killing Indian soldiers one after the other.

Chinese premier holds talks with PM Manmohan Singh

Beijing, Oct 23 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh attended a welcome ceremony hosted by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday. Singh arrived at Beijing on Tuesday for the two-day state visit to China. Keqiang held talks with Singh in the Great Hall of the People on Wednesday morning. During the talks, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and other issues of common interest. This is the second time this year that the heads of government of the two countries have met following Li's visit to India in May. India and China are close to an agreement to stop tension on their contested border touching off confrontation while they try to figure out a way to break decades-old stalemate on overlapping claims to long stretches of the Himalayas.

Wipro registers record revenue growth in second quarter

Bangalore, Oct 23 (ANI): Wipro, India’s third-largest information technology (IT) services firm registered highest revenue growth over the past seven quarters in its core business during the second quarter of the current financial year, backed by an improved demand environment and favorable currency movement. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, TN Kurien said this at a news conference in Bangalore on Tuesday while releasing the results for the second quarter.
