Panaji, Nov 20 (ANI): Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, Manish Tewari on Wednesday lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the allegations of snooping on a young woman by the Gujarat police, saying there is a difference between security and surveillance. In an alleged taped conversation between former home minister of Gujarat, Amit Shah and Gujarat IPS officer G L Singhal aired by news portals Cobrapost and Gulail, Shah was instructing Singhal to closely monitor the movements of the woman referred to in the report as "Madhuri", which is not her real name. New Delhi/ Chhattisgarh, Nov 20 (ANI): Despite threat calls to boycott elections by Maoists in Chhattisgarh, around 75 per cent polling was recorded on Tuesday in 72 constituencies of the state. The second and last phase of assembly polls in the Maoist-infested Chhattisgarh concluded peacefully. Last week, polling for the first phase was held for 18 seats including constituencies in Maoists-infested districts of Bastar and Rajnandgaon. The Maoists had earlier warned voters of dire consequences and asked them to boycott the polls by putting up threatening banners in different villages of the region.
