KC Tyagi slams BJP on MLAs' felicitation

New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): JD (U) leader KC Tyagi slammed the BJP's decision to felicitate its MLAs Sangeet Singh Som and Suresh Rana, who were arrested for allegedly inciting communal violence in Muzaffarnagar, and now are out on bail. Uttar Pradesh unit of BJP will felicitate Som and Rana, during the party's PM candidate Narendra Modi's rally in Agra on November 21. Tyagi said he will ask the UP Government to plead in the Supreme Court to cancel the bail of the two.

AAP's manifesto will include much more besides fighting corruption: Arvind Kejriwal

Kaushambi, Nov 20 (ANI): Activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal will today release the election manifesto of his political outfit Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which promises cheap electricity and regular water supply for Delhi residents. Kejiwal, who was supposed to release the manifesto on a previous date, had to reschedule it after Hazare expressed his displeasure that his name was being used by the former to campaign for Delhi elections.

Hurt by Anna's video: Arvind Kejriwal

Kaushambi, Nov 20 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said that he is saddened by the release of Anna Hazare’s video footage in which he was seen purportedly questioning the use of India Against Corruption funds for political purpose by Aam Aadmi Party. Kejriwal also accused the Congress and the BJP of spreading rumours to provoke Anna that the AAP is using his photo for party campaigns.

Police arrest Maoist leader, recover arms in Jharkhand

Palamu, Nov 20 (ANI): The Jharkhand police have arrested Maoist leader Nirmal Bhuyan alias Mahesh, who was on the wanted list for his involvement in a number of crimes and recovered arms in Palamu district of Jharkhand. The police said they have also seized a gun and some bullets from the arrested rebel. Maoist rebels in India are rapidly expanding their insurgency and could move from remote rural areas to cities. Equipped with automatic weapons and explosives, the Maoists want to cripple economic activity.

Man brutally attacks, robs woman in Bangalore

Bangalore, Nov 20 (ANI): A man brutally attacked a woman with sharp weapon and robbed her inside an ATM booth in Bangalore on Tuesday. CCTV footage showed the man attacking the woman with a weapon on her face and head. The woman was, reportedly, lying in pool of blood for a long time and the incident came to light when two school children raised an alarm seeing blood coming out the kiosk from under the shutters. The police said that the victim is in hospital and has regained consciousness.
