The 2017 London Marathon on 23 April was the scene of multiple displays of kindness and love, including not one, but two marriage proposals. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust recorded and shared this video of Jon Higgins pausing at the 24-mile mark of the marathon to propose to his girlfriend Amy, who responded with a very emotional “yes”.Higgins was running to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
