Civil societies extend relief materials to flood affected J and K

Rajouri, Sep 27 (ANI): A New Delhi based non-profit charitable trust, Thakurdwara, collected and sent the much needed relief material to Rajouri district of flood- affected Jammu. Three trucks carrying relief material worth rupees 50 lakh reached Rajouri. Relief material included shelter kits, bed sheets, towels, milk powder and tarpaulin sheets. Both the Indian and Pakistani sides of the disputed Himalayan region have seen extensive flooding this month, with Srinagar particularly hard hit. Hundreds of people have been killed and tens of thousands are homeless. District Development Commissioner, Jatinder Kumar Singh said that according to the data collected so far, 9,000 homes have been damaged in the floods, out of which 3,000 have been totally ruined and such contributions are a big help for the administration. New Delhi, Sep 27 (ANI): In a major blow to former Haryana chief minister Om Prakash Chautala, who has been convicted in JBT recruitment scam case, the Delhi High Court has asked him to surrender on or before October 17. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) chief is currently out of prison on bail on health grounds. The INLD leader recently addressed a political rally in Haryana's Jind town where he slammed the Congress government for sending him to jail by implicating him in JBT scam. Chautala even vowed to take oath in jail if his party emerged winner in the assembly polls. Manisha got wedded to Hardik Chowatiya, a friend of Vitthal Radadiya's son Lalit, in Jamkandorna town of Rajkot district.
