Major Fire in Agra's Lohar Gali guts over 250 shops

Agra, Oct 04 (ANI): A major fire broke out early on Saturday morning in the famed Lohar Gali area of Agra. Over 250 shops were gutted and several residential flats got damaged in the fire that broke out in a famous market in Agra city of Uttar Pradesh. Around eight fire brigade vans were called in to control the blaze that began at around 2:00 AM. Locals also raised the need for calling the military. Prices of sacrificial animals go up every year ahead of Eid al-Adha, which will be celebrated on Monday across the country. Livestock prices have shoot up in Bijnor city and Patna city. Eid-al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is a Muslim festival which commemorates the obedience of the prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice his son when ordered to by God. Poonch/New Delhi, Oct 04 (ANI): Unprovoked firing and ceasefire violations by Pakistani Rangers at Indian positions along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir left one dead and injures four civilians. Some civilians sustained injuries while some lost their houses. The entire Gagrian village in the Poonch sector was affected due to firing. Senior Superintendent of Police Shamsher Hussain said there was huge amount of Mortar Shelling and firing was been carried out from both the sides. Meanwhile, Indian troops also retaliated in Saujian area of Poonch sector. However, JD (U) Leader Ali Anwar said it is a very serious matter and India should initiate the dialogue process. New Delhi, Oct 04 (ANI): Indian wrestlers Yogeshwar Dutt and Bajrang arrived in New Delhi on Saturday after bagging gold and silver medal respectively at the 17th Asian Games held in Incheon in South Korea. Dutt outshone Tajikistan's Zalimkhan Yusupov in the men's 65 kg freestyle wrestling match by 1-0, whereas Bajrang had to settle with a silver medal after losing the men's freestyle 61kg final match with 1-3 score to Iran. His compatriot Narsingh Pancham Yadav settled for a bronze in 74kg freestyle. Speaking to mediapersons, Dutt expressed his happiness over the win. SCI launches first shipping service to Myanmar

Chennai, Oct 04 (ANI): India launched its first shipping service to Myanmar connecting both the countries under the concept of 'look east' policy to boost bilateral ties. The shipping corporation of India (SCI) and the ministry of shipping have launched a direct service to Myanmar for the first time with the help of foreign ministry and commerce ministry. The fortnightly service was flagged off at Krishnapatnam Port, one of the fastest growing ports on the East Coast of India, after it sailed from Chennai late Friday. Secretary, Ministry Of Shipping, Vishwapati Trivedi said beyond commercial trade it will strengthen trade relationship between both countries. Patna, Oct 04 (ANI): At least 32 people were killed and manyothers injured in a major stampede in Patna city of Bihar during celebrations of Dussehra. The incident took place at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Eyewitness's said that chaos was created after an electric wire fell on the ground. According to reports, most of the deceased are women and children. The injured were immediately rushed to Patna Medical College Hospital. District Magistrate, Manish Verma confirmed the death toll and said that the injured were under treatment in the hospital. Meanwhile, locals blamed the absence of any lighting at the venue for the accident and also the police who they alleged had kept two of the four exits closed for the VIP movement.
