Antiques worth millions stolen from museum in Gujarat

Vadodara, Oct 27 (ANI): Burglars stole two 100-year-old revolvers and a sword sheathe from Baroda Museum and Picture Gallery in Gujarat. The famous museum in Vadodara city was built in 1894 by King Sayaji Rao Gaekwad. It preserves a rich collection of art, sculpture, ethnography and ethnology of international value worth millions. Despite under heavy security blanket, the robbers managed to steal items. This has raised a question on security and police say it will investigate the matter. Curator of the museum, Vijay Patel, said he received the news in the morning. The police rushed to the spot with dog squads and forensic department after receiving the information. Oct 27, 2014
