Xolo Q500s IPS, Play 6X-1000 with Android 4.4 KitKat Launched in India; Price, Specifications Details

Homegrown smartphone maker Xolo has launched a couple of Android KitKat handsets, dubbed Play 6X-1000 and Q500s IPS, in India.

As the name suggests, Xolo Play 6X-1000 is gaming-centric phone; the 5.0-inch mid-range phone comes loaded with 1.5GHz Hexa-core processor, backed by a 600MHz Mali-450 graphics engine and 2GB RAM, which is sumptuous enough to run most of the power-intensive games with less drag. It also boasts a 2100 mAh (Li-Pol) battery, which can run the phone up to 24.68 hours of talk time and close to 581 hours under standby mode.

On the other hand, the new Xolo Q500s IPS, is an entry-level phone. It sports a 4.0-inch WVGA (800x480p) screen and ships with the latest Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up 32GB), a 5.0-megapixel camera, a VGA camera on the front and 1500 mAh battery.

Competitions:

Both devices - Xolo Q500s and Play 6X-1000 - are listed on the company's official website for ₹5,999 and ₹14,499. [ However, the details regarding the release date is still under wraps.]

Xolo Play 6X-1000 will be up against popular Motorola phone Moto G, and the recently released BlackBerry Z3, HTC Desire 516, whereas budget phone Xolo Q500s will fight for space with Moto E and a slew local counterparts - Micromax (three devices- Canvas Unite 2, Entice A105, and Engage A091), and it's very sister firm- Lava (Iris X1), Xolo (Q600s), Celkon (Campus A35K), Karbonn (Titanium S99, Smart A12,A11Star ), Intex Aqua Curve Mini and others.
