College Principal hacked to death by engineering students

Tuticorin, Oct 10 (ANI): In a shocking incident, students of Infant Jesus Engineering College in Tuticorin city of Tamil Nadu hacked their Principal to death due to disciplinary action on them. The students were ordered to vacate the hostel on grounds of indiscipline. The three students were singled out by the Principal and repeatedly faced suspension and other disciplinary measures. According to the management, these students were indulged in ragging the juniors in the hostel. Muzaffarnagar riots: Allahabad HC notice to Azam Khan

New Delhi, Oct 10 (ANI): The Allahabad High Court has issued a notice to senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan for allegedly pressing for the release of seven members from the Muslim community named in the murder of two Jats, which triggered the communal backlash in Mazaffarnagar last month claiming at least 48 lives. The court asked Azam Khan to file his counter affidavit within ten days from the receipt of notice. According to reports, the Allahabad High Court also stayed the suspension of an SHO of a police station in Muzaffarnagar where these seven accused were held by the police. The court noted that the allegations leveled against Khan were "serious" and "the chain of incidents show that the matter requires consideration to see the circumstances and to find out whether the same was "in accordance with law" and not "vitiated".
