Chattisgarh: Maoists warn villagers against voting in upcoming polls

Kanker, Oct 20 (ANI): Maoists in Chattisgarh have issued threats to voters by pasting banners in the villages, asking them to boycott the upcoming state assembly polls. As the banners were placed across the villages in Kanker district of Chattisgarh, fear loomed in the region. Azamgarh: Hooch tragedy kills 35

Azamgarh, Oct 20 (ANI): Consumption of illicit liquor in Azamgarh has claimed 35 lives and affected 68 others among whom six are still hospitalised for detoxification and treatment. A majority of the victims were labourers and daily wage earners and reportedly, they had bought the hooch sold in pouches on Thursday. Soon they felt uneasy and fell sick. The police has arrested two people for supplying the toxic stuff to local vends.
