Smartphone leader, Samsung has officially released two Android KitKat-powered budget-handsets, Galaxy Star 2 Plus and Ace NXT, in India.
Samsung Galaxy Star 2 Plus sports a 4.3-inch WVGA display with 800x480p resolutions and is powered by a 1.2GHz processor backed by 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB), 3.0-megapixel main camera (with LED flash) and a 1,800 mAh battery.
On the other hand, Galaxy Ace NXT is just a smaller version of the above with pretty same specifications sans the screen size and battery capacity. It flaunts a 4.0-inch WVGA screen and 1,500 mAh battery.
Price Details
As of now, the two Samsung phones - Galaxy Ace NXT and Galaxy Star 2 Plus - are currently retailing for ₹7,335 at the company's official eStore , reported MakTech Blog.
Considering their Specifications and price-tag, the devices seems a little over-priced. Samsung will have a tough time convincing the shrewd Indian buyers who are spoilt for choices with numerous affordable phones in the market with superior specifications.
For instance, the popular Moto E comes with price-tag of just ₹6,999 with water-resistant screen, dual-core CPU, Gorilla Glass 3 shield and the list goes on.
Even the domestic players like Micromax (Canvas Fire, Canvas Unite 2, Entice A105, and Engage A091), Lava (Iris X1), Xolo (Q600s), Celkon (Campus A35K), Karbonn (Titanium S99), Intex Aqua Curve Mini sell their KitKat devices for less than ₹8,000.
