Space chimp chases Tim Peake around ISS

Nasa astronaut Scott Kelly decided to inject some monkey business into his time on the space station by dressing up in a gorilla costume to torment his fellow ship mates. Kelly uploaded a video to his Twitter page on 23 February showing an unsuspecting astronaut, Britain’s own Tim Peake, checking a large white box. A few seconds later a costumed Kelly comes out and proceeds to chase Peake around the space station. Feb 25, 2016

French robot uses ‘artificial taste’ to judge art

Strolling through the exhibition halls of Paris Quai Branly museum of indigenous art, a little robot in a bowler hat has learned to become a silent art critic. The Berenson robot, developed in France in 2011 and named after American art expert Bernard Berenson, is the brainchild of anthropologist Denis Vidal and robotics engineer Philippe Gaussier. Oscars 2016: The Revenant and DiCaprio hot favourites for top awards

Leonardo DiCaprio will finally take home the best actor Oscar on 28 February, according to Las Vegas bookmaker Ben Eckstein. Eckstein, who has a nationally syndicated odds column and publishes betting odds on his website AmericasLine.com, has DiCaprio at 1/50 for his role as a fur trapper bent on revenge in The Revenant. The best picture race, though, is tighter, with Alejandro Inarritus dark drama competing against Tom McCarthys journalism tale Spotlight, with financial farce The Big Short in third place. Hamilton, who was speaking at the Mobile World Live in Barcelona on 23 February, has won the last two F1 world championships while Mercedes have won the last two constructors championships. Isis: Rescued Swedish girl describes her life under Daesh

A Swedish teenager rescued from Islamic State (Isis) militants in Iraq has said life in the so-called caliphate was really hard and that she was duped into going there by her boyfriend. In her first interview since Kurdish special forces recovered her in northern Iraq, the 16-year old, identified as Marilyn Nevalainen, told a Kurdish TV channel she had met her boyfriend in mid-2014 after dropping out of school in Sweden. Kendall Jenner meets her waxwork self at Madame Tussauds

Model and reality TV star Kendall Jenner came face to face with a waxwork model of herself at Madame Tussauds in London on 23 February. The waxwork version of Kendall is wearing a black dress while seated in front of a mirror in a backstage makeup room. It is part of a behind the scenes fashion exhibition at the museum, which includes a catwalk with waxwork figures of model Cara Delevingne and Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Nevada caucus: Donald Trump ‘winning the country’ after third straight win

Businessman Donald Trump inched closer to the US Republican presidential nomination after easily outdistancing his rivals in the Nevada caucus on 23 February, giving him his third win in four early nominating contests. Broadcast networks called the state for Trump almost immediately after voting ended, with the state Republican Party confirming the victory soon after. Arsene Wenger was a picture of frustration following Arsenals 2-0 Champions League last-16 first-leg defeat to Barcelona on 23 February, describing his team as technically very average on the night. He also lamented their naivety in allowing the otherwise under-par La Liga leaders, who are now unbeaten in 33 matches across all competitions, to exploit them on the counter-attack in scenes that bore a resemblance to Monacos victory in north London last season.
