Cast of Hamilton perform for Obamas at the White House

The cast of the hit Broadway show Hamilton, the musical biography about the orphan raised in the Caribbean who rose to become Americas first Secretary of the Treasury, performed at the White House on 14 March at the invitation of US President Barack Obama. Crufts 2016: West Highland Terrier Geordie Girl wins Best in Show

A white West Highland Terrier took the overall title of Best in Show at the world-renowned Crufts show 2016 on 13 March. Geordie Girl, also known as Devon, claimed the crown in the 125th year of the show, ahead of six other finalists. Top Gear: Chris Evans offers ‘unreserved apology’ for Cenotaph stunt

BBC presenter Chris Evans has apologised during his Radio 1 Breakfast Show, after former Friends star Matt LeBlanc was filmed performing a car stunt near the Cenotaph war memorial in Whitehall. The sequence – being filmed for the new series of motoring show Top Gear – is understood to have resulted in tyre marks around the monument, which is the focus of national mourning on Remembrance Sunday. Charl Schwartzel secured his first victory in the United States since the 2011 Masters by beating Bill Haas in a playoff at the Valspar Championship in Florida on 13 March. Rafael Nadal said that he will sue Roselyne Bachelot, after the former French sports minister alleged the Spanish 14 time grand slam winners seven-month absence from the sport in 2012 was because of a positive doping test. Speaking after he beat Luxembourgs Gilles Muller 6-2 2-6 6-4 to advance to the third round of the BNP Paribas Open on 13 March, an angry Nadal said that he was going to take legal action against Bachelot and anyone else who accuses him of doping. Ankara bombing: Footage shows immediate aftermath of blast

A car bomb tore through a crowded transport hub in the Turkish capital of Ankara on 13 March, killing 34 and wounding at least 125 more, the second such attack in the administrative heart of the city in less than a month. The blast, which could be heard several kilometres away, sent burning debris showering down over an area a few hundred metres from the Justice and Interior Ministries, a top courthouse, and the former office of the prime minister.
