Who is Alton Sterling?

Alton Sterling was the 37-year-old American shot to death by police officers in Baton Rouge on 5 July, 2016. He was the father of five children, living in a transitional home, whose favorite dish was red beans and rice. Sterlings son Cameron champions good police officers and peace between all racial groups. Alton was the 558th American to be killed by police in the US in 2016.  May 5, 2017

The face-to-face meeting followed a reportedly hostile phone call between the two in February, before Trump took to Twitter to call the refugee resettlement plan a dumb deal. Despite the tumultuous status of the deal, Trump said the refugee resettlement had been worked out for a long time – the deal was reaffirmed by Vice President Mike Pence in April during his visit to Australia. Watch orangutan rescued from tiny, dark box where he was kept prisoner for years

A four-year-old male orangutan named Kotap, who had been kept prisoner in a small box, was saved by an International Animal Rescue team at a remote village in West Kalimantan, Borneo. Kotap had been kept for two years in the dark box, with only a plastic bottle and straw to amuse him. International Animal Rescue shared footage on 3 May. It said Kotap would be taken to a rehabilitation centre where he would be given a chance of returning to the forest where he belongs. May 4, 2017
