A trucker helped rescue a motorcyclist after the pair were involved in a fiery explosion in Nanchang in China on 6 May. Surveillance footage from the road shows the speeding motorcyclist careering into Yang Juyongs truck, resulting in a huge explosion. Juyong then joined some passers-by in pulling the cyclist – identified only by his surname of Chen – away from the flames, to safety. Chen reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries in the dramatic crash. May 10, 2017

A journalist was arrested apparently for trying to question Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price at a meeting in West Virginias Capitol on 9 May. Public News Service journalist Dan Heyman said he was arrested for asking Price and White House special counsel Kellyanne Conway if domestic violence would be classed as a pre-existing condition under the Affordable Health Care for America Act. Police charged Heyman with wilful disruption of governmental processes and allege that the reporter was aggressively breaching the Secret Service agents and was causing a disturbance by yelling questions. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani was met by angry protesters during a visit to Azadshahr in northern Iran, on 7 May, several days after a tragic mining accident killed over 30 coal miners. Greig Trout is the founder of 101 Things to do When you Survive, an anti-bucket list list that saw him travel the world. Trout isnt someone you would meet now and realise that he has once suffered severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Trout is a double cancer survivor, first diagnosed at just aged seven with a stage 4 Wilms tumour, and again at aged 30 but this time with stage 2 bowel cancer. Although he fully recovered from both cancers the psychological effects and fear of the cancer returning were what really took their toll. Oskana Panich, from Mandurah in Western Australia, recorded six minutes of footage of the man in her garden on 5 May, and posted it to Facebook in an attempt to identify him. She told Storyful, I just want to find this pervert. The trespasser can be seen smelling her underwear on the washing line and walking around her garden, before calmly leaving the scene.
