Dry fruit Saffron rice Ingredients Cooked Raw Rice - 1 cup Chopped Cashew nuts Chopped Dates Chopped Almond Raisins Sugar - 3 tbsp Cardamom pods Ghee Saffron in milk Method: 1. Heat some ghee in a pan and roast the chopped almonds and cashews. Once they start turning brown, add raisins and dates. Roast them and then transfer the mixture into a bowl. 2. In the same pan, add some ghee & cooked raw rice. Toss them over low flame. 3. Then, add saffron milk, cardamom powder, dry fruits - nut mixture and sugar to it. Mix well. 4. Check for sweetness and then turn off the stove. Serve hot or at room temperature. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 31.55 points up to stand at 8,114.60. OBEROI REALTY LTD. and EICHER MOTORS LTD. were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 15.24% and 8.46% along with GODREJ CONSUMER PRODUCTS LTD. and CASTROL INDIA LTD. with an increase of 7.33% and 5.88% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include JAIPRAKASH ASSOCIATES LTD. and NATIONALUM with a decrease of 3.07% and 3.06% along with JSW STEEL and JPPOWER with a decrease of 2.44% and 2.37% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 118.40 points at 17,670.08 while the banking sector is down 22.93 points at 18,430.37 and the reality sector is up 38.39 points at 1,826.03. Varanasi, Sep 3 (ANI): As a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to develop smart cities in the country, a village of renowned Hindi poet, Munshi Premchand, which comes under Modi’s constituency of Varanasi, is set to develop as the first smart village. Lamhi village in Varanasi city in Uttar Pradesh will be equipped with all facilities and villagers will no longer have to visit other districts or cities for any administrative-related work. Data of each household will be collected and services would be just one step away. District Magistrate, Pranjal Yadav, said everything would be computerized and any application will be filled in the village itself. Data will be collected based on 36 points, including land, personal, income and others. A unique account number will be generated, which will be given to the villagers. Three day Indo Bangladesh secretary level talks in Dhaka on cross border crime

Dhaka, Sep 3 (ANI): A team of Indian delegates led by Home Secretary, Anil Goswami, headed to Dhaka to attend the 15th Bangladesh-India Home Secretary-level talks on cross-border crimes and border management. Senior Secretary of Home Ministry, Mozammel Haque Khan, led the Bangladesh delegation. The two countries are expected to discuss issues on border crimes, border management, land boundary agreement, counter-terror initiatives and reopening of immigration points, besides reviewing progress and implementation of existing protocols and agreements. A Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral co-operation for prevention of human trafficking and rescue and rehabilitation of victims is most likely to be signed. New Delhi, Sept 03 (ANI): Women activists on Wednesday condemned the killing of a teenage girl in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. A day after she openly challenged the verdict of a village kangaroo court chaired by a local Trinamool Congress leader, the naked body of a teenage girl was found near the railway tracks in Jalpaiguri. Her father has accused local TMC leaders and supporters of raping and murdering her. The girl, went missing immediately after the meeting ended late on Monday night. She had accompanied her father to a 'salishi' or meeting called by Namita Roy, the TMC councillor of the municipality. Truck accident in Kanpur kills 10, injures two

Kanpur, Sep 3 (ANI): Ten people died and two critically injured when a speeding truck overturned near a construction site in the wee hours of Wednesday in Kanpur. The victims who were construction workers were sleeping on the road in a slum area in Kanpur city when the truck lost balance as the wheels got stuck in a manhole and overturned upon them. Superintendent of Kanpur Police, Prabhakran, investigating into the accident confirmed that the mishap claimed ten lives and assured further probe into the incident.
