Scottish independence issue settled for a generation: British PM David Cameron after Scotland reject

Edinburgh, Sep 19 (ANI): British Prime Minister David Cameron said on Friday that the question of Scottish independence had been settled "for a generation" after Scotland voters called a clear vote to stay part of United Kingdom. Cameron said the result paved the way for a new balanced constitutional settlement for all of Britain, including England, and that draft laws granting Scotland new powers would be published by January. As the result of the historic Scotland referendum announced that it would stay part of UK, people awaiting the result were seen in mixed of emotions. Meanwhile, Scottish nationalist leader Alex Salmond conceded defeat over his bid to win independence and demanded the British government rapidly meet its promise of more powers for Edinburgh. New Delhi, Sep 19 (ANI): Scores of Tibetans staged a protest Friday morning outside Hotel Taj Palace where Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife are staying. Protesters carrying placards that read "Freedom is my birth right", "Freedom of Tibet, Security of India" raised anti-China slogans. They shouted slogans like "We want freedom" as police tried to cordon them off from the area. Ajit Singh meets injured protesters in hospital, asks govt to push up CC Singh memorial issue

New Delhi/ Ghaziabad, Sep 19 (ANI): RLD Chief Ajit Singh on Friday reached the hospital in Ghaziabad where his supporters who got injured during a protest yesterday are admitted. Singh visited to meet the injured supporters of the party. Earlier on Thursday, about 200 Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and Bharatiya Kishan Union workers blocked traffic on National Highway-58 and tried to disrupt the water supply from Muradnagar to Sonia Vihar in Delhi. Singh said that it should be seen that the issue is pushed forward by the government. Meanwhile, Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said that any government building cannot be turned into memorial as per the Supreme Court's order.
