Politicos condemn Bihar CM's decision to appoint son-in-law as PA even as he resigns later

New Delhi, Nov 06 (ANI): Political leaders on Thursday condemned Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi for appointing his son-in-law as his personal assistant even after he resigned from the post later following the controversy. BJP leader Sambit Patra said that Bihar CM should give answer on his son-in-law's statement that he has had many benefits of the post of Manjhi. Party leader Kirti Azad also hit out at the Bihar chief minister. Congress leader Rashid Alvi also said that this is unfortunate and that politicians should stop doing such things which points finger on the political system as a whole. Nov 6, 2014

New rule for women boxers, doctor's certification in pregnancy test mandatory

New Delhi/ Mumbai, Nov 06 (ANI): A new rule has been imposed upon women boxers all over the world that they will have to carry the doctor's certification after undergoing a pregnancy test prior to participation in any boxing championship. The Vice President of Indian Orthopaedic Association, Tarlochan Singh said that this was already a mandatory practice apart from a certification from a doctor. He added that there was nothing discriminatory in the rule for India as the practice is applicable worldwide. Secretary of Sports Department, Ajit Saran said that the Indian sports federation cannot do anything about the rule as it has been applied by AIBA for all boxers. Secretary of Boxing India Jay Kowli said that there is no need to create an issue out of the rule because it is in the benefit of women boxers to prevent them of any injury if they are pregnant. Meanwhile, former athlete Sunita Godara said that in a sport like boxing pregnancy test being mandatory is a safe step and all sportspersons going through it is also a welcome step. Nov 6, 2014

The party, however, emphasized that the country was facing problems in absence of a full time Defence Minister and therefore the government should give the responsibility to someone at the earliest. Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Ice Cream 2’ which was supposed to be released on November 7th has been postponed to 21st November. The reason behind the postponement is unknown yet. Jitan Ram Manjhis son-in-law clarifies resignation as PA after controversy arose

Patna, Nov 06 (ANI): The son-in-law of Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Devendra Manjhi gave his resignation as the PA of Chief Minister after it ignited controversy. Devendra Manjhi said that he had been working under the Chief Minister for many years and earlier nobody raised the issue, but now seeking other benefits from the controversy some opposition parties have made it controversial. He also said that the definition of a relative is not clear under law and it does state clearly as to which relatives can and which cannot become Chief Minister’s PA. He further said that he had given his resignation after having discussion with the Bihar Chief Minister. Goa CM declines any talks on cabinet berth with PM Modi

New Delhi, Nov 6 (ANI): Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter's official 7, Race Course Residence (RCR) on Wednesday evening amid speculation that he may be given a Cabinet berth at the Centre. Parrikar, however, after the meeting denied having any talks on the cabinet berth with PM Modi. He said that he had discussion over issues concerning his state and as of now he remains the Chief Minister of Goa. Parriker earlier in the day met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah.
