TISS scholar from Manipur found dead at his home in South Delhi

New Delhi/Bangalore, Nov 20 (ANI): A 33-year-old Manipuri scholar was found murdered at his home in Kotla area of South Delhi on Thursday morning. The deceased Zingran Kengoo was a PhD scholar from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). The body of the deceased was discovered by his house owner's son who found him lying in a pool of blood. According to the reports, Kengoo was found with a slit throat and his head almost beheaded. A knife was also recovered from the room where the incident took place. The body has been sent to the hospital for postmortem. Meanwhile, in Bangalore a 25-year-old Manipuri youth was allegedly assaulted by three people. The Manipuri youth who was badly injured has been hospitalized. Investigations are underway in both the cases. Nov 20, 2014

Women seriously injured after alleged robbery on moving train

Bhopal, Nov 20 (ANI): A 29-year-old woman was severely injured after she fell out of a moving train while she was chasing the two men who had allegedly robbed her near Karonda railway station. The woman sustained serious injuries in the incident and is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bhopal. According to the media reports, the victim's belongings including a hand bag, her gold chains and two smartphones were missing. Germany did not seek reconsideration of the opposition to German being taught as a third language at the central schools, but sought more cooperation for promotion of the two languages that shared a lot in common. Education Minister Smriti Irani had decided to drop the German language in favour of Sanskrit for over 70,000 students across 500 Kendriya Vidyalayas or central Schools from classes VI to VIII. New Delhi/ Dhanbad, Nov 20 (ANI): The government does not expect power tariffs to rise after it auctions more than 200 coal blocks, Coal Secretary Anil Swarup has said. The Coal Ministry on Tuesday had released draft guidelines for allocation of 74 coal blocks. The due date for coal auction is February 11. The Ministry will compensate prior allottees unsuccessful in coal auction. Swarup said that the idea was to keep a lid on tariff rather than adopt a revenue maximisation approach.
