Surat, Nov 20 (ANI): Brides and grooms from two different states tied knot during a mass wedding in Gujarat due to skewed sex ratio and dowry conditions. Girls from Odisha said they have to give dowry in weddings and families do not have money to cater to huge demands from groom's family side. Meanwhile, boys informed about skewed sex ratio in their Gujarat state following which they were finding difficulty in getting a suitable match for them. SC removes CBI Chief Ranjit Sinha from 2G case investigation

New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): In a major setback to CBI Chief Ranjit Sinha, the Supreme Court on Thursday directed him to recuse himself from the investigation in 2G scam case. The Supreme Court heard the matter and observed that apparently 'all is not well' and seemingly the allegations made by the NGO against CBI Director Ranjit Sinha have 'some credibility'. The court however didn't give out a reason on its directive saying that this was done to protect CBI's reputation. The court also said that the senior-most officer in the investigating team of the 2G scam will take over the role of CBI director in the case. Further, the SC also rejected Sinha's charges that DIG Santosh Rastogi was the mole who leaked information to petitioner and said that no question will be raised against Rastogi. Nov 20, 2014

Ramban, Nov 20 (ANI): BJP Chief Amit Shah reviewed the poll preparations in Jammu and Kashmir and urged people to vote against dynasty politics to maintain the valley's integrity. Shah hit out at the opposition, Congress party and its ally in Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference (NC), for "lack of development" in the valley in the past six decades. The BJP president also demanded an enquiry into utilization of funds in the state. While addressing a gathering on Thursday in Ramban district in support of the party candidate, Neelam Langeh, Shah claimed that only the BJP was capable of bring about the complete integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of India. Chandigarh, Nov 20 (ANI): After Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday sent self-styled 'godman' Rampal to judicial custody till 28 November, state DGP SN Vashisht said that the police have got the Satlok Ashram totally vacated and that 459 people are arrested and interrogation is going on. He said that Rampal's aide is also arrested and many documents and CDs are recovered from him, which is under scanner by the forensic team. Vashisht also said that FIR has been lodged too charging Rampal for murder among other cases. Goa, Nov 20 (ANI): Movie buffs would get a taste of Indian as well as foreign films as 11-day International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is going to kick-off from Thursday (November 20) in Goa. The event will be inaugurated at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee stadium in Bambolim and offer a wide variety of 110 films and 28 Oscar entries.
