Competitions:
Company has confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 3 will hit stores on 15 July for ₹14,999 and going by the phone's specifications and its price tag, Mi 3 is set to create a huge storm in the Indian smartphone market, much bigger than Motorola's Moto G. Many Octa-core based locally branded smartphones like Micromax Canvas Knight A350, Intex Aqua Octa, Wickedleak Wammy Passion X, Karbonn Titanium Octane, Octane Plus and also the Chinese phone Gionee Elife S5.5 will have a tough time competing with the new Xiaomi phone.
Xiaomi comes with a reputation of being the China's answer to Apple Inc from the east. Its market share in the neighboring country is growing like clockwork and to boost the company's prospects in the international market, Xiaomi even hired (or poached) Google's Android division, vice-president and product spokesman, Hugo Barra in 2013. Xiaomi has even roped in Manu Kumar Jain, Jabong (online retail-shop), co-founder to head the Indian division. The company has promised to launch more feature-rich devices in India in coming days.
