Intex Launches First Indigenous Eight-Core CPU Smartphone Aqua-Octa in India; Availability and Price Details

New Delhi based consumer electronics firm, Intex Technologies (India) Ltd has launched the first indigenous eight-core based smartphone dubbed as 'Aqua Octa' in India.

Company Business Head (Mobile), Sanjay Kumar Kalirona said: "The launch of 'Aqua Octa' reinforces our brand's promise to bring premium smart devices at the leading edge of technology, to improve the quality of life of people at large. With the True Octa Core processor, Intex achieves another industry first by bringing the fastest 6-inch Android smartphone ever for the technically savvy customer. The incredibly responsive touch screen and innovative user interface adds that 'plus one' that our customers have come to expect from every Intex device"

The new phone boasts of a mammoth 6.0-inch HD (1280x720p) display with OGS (One Glass Solution) display technology and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS, powered by the MediaTek Octa-core processor with a max CPU speed of 1.7GHz, making it the most efficient and the fastest device in its class (mid-range phablet).

Other stipulated features include, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB), 13.0-megapixel main camera, 5.0-megapixel snapper on the front, a 2,300 mAh battery.

As of now, Intex Aqua Octa is exclusively offered on Snapdeal for ₹19,999 with an incentive - 3000 mAh power bank and company branded craggy headphone worth ₹3,990 to customers until 8 January. The company claims that the new handset would be made widely available across India from 15 January.
