Even though his remarks were highly criticized as "patriarchal" and "misogynistic", Singh stood by his comment that he has the guts to burn his daughter or sister alive, if she indulges into pre-marital sex. The lawyer faced public ire after his hysterical presentation of the Delhi gang rape case.
