Palamu: Security forces undergo special training to combat Maoists

Palamu, Sep 12 (ANI): Security forces received special training and tactics during a campaign to combat Maoism in Jharkhand's Palamu district. Around 100 cadres were given special physical training and taught advanced tactics in the campaign. The 24 days campaign conducted by Jharkhand police aimed at preparing these cadres not only to fight the rebels but also for emergency situations like riots. Hardcore physical training, use of advanced weapons and protective suits were some of the highlights of the training.

India and Japan to strengthen ties through the medium of cinema

New Delhi, Sept 12 (ANI): India and Japan signed a joint agreement in New Delhi on Thursday to enhance bilateral relations by collaboration of the film industries of the two nations. A conference was held between India's minister of information and technology Manish Tewari and Japanese Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry Toshimitsu Motegi, who is on a visit to India along with a high-level business delegation to boost bilateral trade and investment. Motegi said that co-production in the film sectors of India and Japan has seen a lot of success, which is why they took the initiate to enhance cooperation in this sphere. Meanwhile, Tewari said that the agreement would facilitate bilateral cooperation for private corporations. Check post on border of Bangladesh to be functional soon: Secretary Border Management

Akhaura, Sept 12 (ANI): India's secretary of border management, Gauri Kumar says integrated check-post at Indo Bangladesh Border in Tripura is going to be functional by November. A high-level Indian delegation led by the Secretary Border Management reviewed the Integrated Check Posts under construction at Akhaura in Tripura. Other members of the delegation included Indian High Commission in Dhaka, Pankaj Saran and Y S Shahrawat, Chairman, Land Port Authority of India. Kumar said that detailed discussions were held regarding the timely completion of the project.
