AAP files complaint to EC against cash & liquor distribution

New Delhi, Dec 3 (ANI): As Delhi goes to polls on Wednesday, the Aam Aadmi Party has filed a complaint to EC against the attempt by its rivals to woo voters through distribution of cash and liquor. The Aam Aadmi Party has uploaded a video shot at Ambedkar Tikona Park in Badli Gaon and says the liquor bottles in the video were meant for distribution among voters by other political parties.

Modi can't repeal Article 370 even if he becomes PM for 10 terms: Farooq Abdullah

New Delhi/ Jammu, Dec 3 (ANI): A furious war of words is continuing over Article 370 of the Constitution, after BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi called for a debate on the issue. Renewable Energy Minister and senior Kashmir leader, Farooq Abdullah has said that even if Modi becomes Prime Minister for "ten terms" he will not be able to repeal Article 370 of the Constitution. Meanwhile, BJP leader, Subramanian Swamy on Tuesday said that it was a temporary provision and it could be repealed with presidential notification. Meanwhile, senior CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta has said that it is a ploy to create communal tension in the country.

New Delhi, Dec 03 (ANI): BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Tuesday said that Congress should not be bothered by discussion on Article 370 as India is an open democracy and there is always scope for discussions about pros and cons of any issue in an open democracy. Govt will try to pass important bills through debates: Rajeev Shukla

Sushma Swaraj's demand for AK Ganguly's resignation draws mixed reactions

Kolkata/ New Delhi, Dec 03 (ANI): A day after BJP Senior leader Sushma Swaraj demanded the resignation of former Supreme Court judge AK Ganguly, accused of sexually harassing a law intern, politicos from different political parties reacted on the same. While BJP Vice President supported the fellow party leader's stand, NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that as the investigation is under process, Ganguly should resign. JD (U) leader Shivanand Tiwari said that he should be tried like any other accused and the charge on him cannot be judged on the basis of age or position. 1984 anti-Sikh riots: SC rejects Sajjan Kumar's plea, asks him to face trial for murder

New Delhi, Dec 3 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected Sajjan Kumar's petition to drop murder charges against him in the 1984 anti-Sikh riot cases. The court asked Kumar to face trial for murder in Delhi’s Sultanpuri, during the riots that followed the assassination of late PM Indira Gandhi by her Sikh bodyguards. The politician stands accused of murder, rioting and promoting hatred between communities which allegedly led to the deaths of six people in Sultanpuri.
