At least 23 killed and several injured as Bangalore-Nanded express catches fire

Anantpur/ New Delhi, Dec 28 (ANI): At least 23 people were killed and several injured after a fire engulfed an air conditioned coach of the Bangalore-Nanded express in Anantpur district of Andhra Pradesh early morning on Saturday. The 'Nanded Express' train was on its way to Nanded from Bangalore, when a three-tier air-conditioned coach caught fire at around 3:30 am. There were around 72 passengers in the coach when the mishap happened. The injured have been rushed to the district hospital. The train driver acted on site and separated the burning bogie from rest of the train to prevent the fire from spreading. Dec 28, 2013
