AAP leader Kumar Vishwas to address rally in Amethi

Lucknow, Jan 12 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas will address a "Janviswas Rally" in Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's parliamentary constituency of Amethi on Sunday. Even though the AAP will release its first list of candidates for the 2014 general elections after January 15, party sources said that Vishwas is most likely to contest from Amethi.

Muzaffarnagar deaths: "People die in palaces too", says UP minister, draws flak

New Delhi/ Lucknow, Jan 12 (ANI): Speaking on Muzaffarnagar riot victims death, Uttar Pradesh's Sports Minister, Narad Rai on Saturday had said that death cannot be avoided and they occur everywhere, even in palaces. This statement drew criticism from former SP leader, Kamal Farooqui and UPCC Chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi who slammed Rai saying that instead of showing sympathy, they are making inhuman comments. Further speaking, Joshi also said that Rai should resign from the post. Thirty-four children have reportedly died at relief camps in Muzaffarnagar in just over two months.

Villagers in Manipurs Churachandpur district flee after Kuki militants serve quit notice

Manipur, Jan 12 (ANI): These families are of the Zou Tribe from Tuinuphai Village in Churachandpur District who have been forced to leave their homes after the United Socialist Revolutionary Army (USRA), a Kuki militant outfit, served a `quit’ notice on them. Some 30 families have now taken refuge near Lamka village.

Beni Prasad Verma faces flak for 'man-eater' remark

New Delhi, Jan 12 (ANI): Political leaders slammed on Sunday slammed Union Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verma for his India needs a prime minister and not a "man-eater" remark. Verma said this referring to BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, without naming him. Rescue operations underway to douse fire at New Delhi's Sadar Bazar

Rahul focuses on youngsters, takes feedback to empower Congress
