Cabinet raises LPG subsidy cap from 9 to 12 cylinders

New Delhi, Jan 30 (ANI): Union Oil Minister Veerappa Moily on Thursday announced a raise in the quota of subsidized LPG cylinders from 9 to 12 per household in a year. He said that from February 1, every month one subsidized cylinder will be available to each household. The move comes days after Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, had demanded raising the ceiling. Consumers who have exhausted their quota have to buy LPG at the market price of Rs. 1,258 per cylinder. Subsidized LPG costs Rs. 414 per 14.2kg cylinder in Delhi. Jan 30, 2014

Bangalore, Jan 30 (ANI): Aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation has asked all airlines and airports to treat MPs as VIPs and adhere to the guidelines on protocol norms. DGCA has asked private airlines to offer special privileges to MPs including advance notice of flight delays, escorts, priority check-in, security, immigration clearances, lounge access and complimentary refreshments.
