India, Fiji sign DTAA to avoid double taxation

New Delhi, Jan 31 (ANI): India and Fiji signed a pact to avoid double taxation and to facilitate mutual economic co-operation between the two countries. The Government of India signed the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) with the Government Fiji that also provides for exchange of banking information for tax administration purpose. The pact was signed in New Delhi by India’s Finance Minister P Chidambaram and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum on behalf of the Government of Fiji.
