14 year old Manipuri girl raped in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 8 (ANI): A 14-year-old Manipuri girl was raped in Munirka on Friday night, allegedly by her landlord's son. The girl had gone to the market to buy some household item when the accused attacked her and took the girl to a vacant room in the locality. The minor has suffered injuries and was taken to Safdarjung Hospital where she underwent a medical examination which confirmed rape. The accused has been arrested after an FIR was registered under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Vasant Vihar Police Station. Meanwhile, people on Saturday protested outside Vasant Vihar Police station in Delhi after the rape demanding justice for the girl and better security for women. Feb 8, 2014

Latehar, Feb 08 (ANI): Recently, the Maoists attacked a construction site in Bariatu area of Jharkhand’s Latehar district. The armed guerillas not only opened fire and threatened the workers but also burnt down their equipment used for road construction.
