Bangalore, Feb 9 (ANI): Nobel laureate and former United Nations Secretary General, Kofi Annan, said that investment is necessary for India’s economic growth and for it to become a global education superpower. Annan was speaking at a ceremony of Infosys Science Awards in Bangalore and felicitated seven winners for excellence in their field. During his address, Annan also stressed on a number of issues ranging from India’s brain drain to providing them opportunities in the country. He further stated that scientific innovation is underway in India in the form of information technology. Infosys' founder and chairman N.R. 14 year old Manipuri girl raped in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 8 (ANI): A 14-year-old Manipuri girl was raped in Munirka on Friday night, allegedly by her landlord's son. The girl had gone to the market to buy some household item when the accused attacked her and took the girl to a vacant room in the locality. The minor has suffered injuries and was taken to Safdarjung Hospital where she underwent a medical examination which confirmed rape. The accused has been arrested after an FIR was registered under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Vasant Vihar Police Station.
