Heavy rains a curse for farmers in MP, Shivraj Singh Chouhan announces relief

Bhopal, Feb 28 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday said that wheat at Rs one per kg will be provided for eight months to farmers who have suffered over 50 per cent crop-loss due to rain and hailstorm in the state. The Chief Minister who visited hailstorm-affected areas also took stock of the damaged crops and held discussions with hailstorm-hit farmers. New Delhi, Feb 28 (ANI): The Union Cabinet on Friday decided to impose President's Rule in Andhra Pradesh, which is being split to create the new state of Telangana. The state has been without a chief minister after N. Kiran Kumar Reddy resigned from the post and the Congress Party to protest against the passage of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill, 2013, which paved the way for the creation of the new state of Telangana.
