Patna, Feb 13 (ANI): BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Friday said that JD (U) has been divided into JD (U)-Manjhi and JD (U)-Nitish. Modi added that the allegations made by Bihar's former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his allies may be from a political prism but does not bode well for parliamentary democracy. JD-U has claimed support of 130 legislators, more than the half-way mark of the strength of the House, which is 243. PIIND and MCLEOD RUSSEL INDIA LTD. were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 11.31% and 9.38% along with MRPL and GITANJALI with an increase of 9.05% and 8.82% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include OIL and RASOYA PROTEINS LTD. with a decrease of 5.33% and 4.62% along with INDIA CEMENTS LTD. and GAIL with a decrease of 4.36% and 3.96% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 208.66 points at 19,586.94 while the banking sector is up 289.73 points at 22,187.50 and the reality sector is down at 16.44 points at 1,721.09. Vadodara, Feb 13 (ANI): Forest department in Vadodara city of Gujarat recovered 77 exotic turtles from a college student. Among the turtles recovered were endangered Star turtles and Singaporean Red Eared turtles. A case has been registered against Patel. A penalty of rupees 60,000 has been imposed on him. Saxena said the accused planned to smuggle the turtles in neighbouring Maharashtra state. Star turtles, which belong to 'very endangered species' category, are quite popular in exotic pet trade and are found in dry and scrub forests of India and neighbouring country Sri Lanka. New Delhi, Feb 13 (ANI): The Supreme Court of India on Friday (February 13) stayed the arrest of social activist in an alleged misappropriation of funds case till February 19. The court asked both Teesta and the Gujarat government to file relevant documents before it. The apex court ruling came after the Gujarat state High Court rejected Setalvad's anticipatory bail plea in the case. She is accused of embezzlement of funds collected on behalf of 2002 riot victims in Gujarat. In January 2014, police had registered a case against Setalvad, her husband Javed Anand and others for allegedly usurping rupees 15 million collected by them in form of donations for turning the colony into a riots museum. An article by Vice Chancellor of Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology, Professor Onkar Singh, has been included in a textbook titled 'Can Glacier and Ice Melt Be Reversed?' for students from class 10 to 12. This feat has got him a place in the Limca Book of Records, a catalogue of achievements made by Indians, at home and abroad, in diverse fields of human endeavour. The book covers various articles that talk about reasons causing global warming and the possible solutions to it. Speaking about global warming, Singh warns that the world would have to face dire consequences if immediate steps are not taken in this concern.
