Little girl surprises doctors after waking up from coma

One-year-old Marwa was put into a coma by doctors who were trying to save her life after she suffered from a virus infection that was attacking her whole body. After showing no signs of improvement the doctors recommended Marwa to be taken off life support but her parents refused. Luckily a judge granted them another two months to see if the little girl would recover and on 22 November Marwa awoke from the coma. Dec 3, 2016

Donald Trump risks tensions with China in unprecedented talk with Taiwan

President-elect Donald Trump received a phone call by Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen on 2 December and posted his thoughts on Twitter, saying the countrys leader called to congratulate him. The move breaks with US’s One-China policy, causing China’s foreign office to lodge a complaint. In 2007, Taiwans ruling Democratic Progressive Party asserted a separate identity from China and called for the enactment of a new constitution for a normal country.However, China considers the self-ruled island to be part of its territory and the US has not had any formal ties with Taiwan since 1979. DRC opposition leaders property attacked as political violence surges

The homes of prominent members of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC) political opposition have been attacked as the country teeters on the brink of war. IBTimes UK spoke to Gabriel Kyungu, President of the prominent opposition platform known as Rassemblement in Katanga, who said his home came under siege in the early hours of 30 November. The identities of the perpetrators is not yet known, but politicians accuse President Kabilas regime of being behind the attack. A bus driver was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation as a double-decker caught fire in the south-west London area of Kingston on 2 December. Video and images posted to Twitter by Kingston police show the back of the bus in flames on Kingston High Street. The London Fire Brigade said the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
