Speaker Sumitra Mahajan remains evasive on allegations of being partial

New Delhi, July 22 (ANI): Lok Sabha Speaker, Sumitra Mahajan, on Tuesday remained evasive on Congress party_s allegations of being biased in connection with leader of opposition (LoP) post. As per Indian laws, the main opposition party in the house must have at least ten percent seats for the Leader of Opposition post. Congress has only 44 lawmakers in a 543-member house. In an effort to strengthen its claim, the Congress party, has sent a letter to Mahajan claiming that it has more than 60 lawmakers in the house with its pre-poll allies. Mahajan acknowledged that she has received letter from Congress in this regard. Senior Congress leader, Amarinder Singh, had alleged that the Speaker is hand-in glove with the government. BJP legislators demand probe report in Kosi river floods to be made public

Patna, July 22 (ANI): BJP leaders on Tuesday protested outside the state assembly in Patna, and demanded that the state government make the 2008 Justice Walia report on Kosi river floods public. A one-man inquiry commission headed by Justice Rajesh Walia, a retired chief justice of the Patna High Court, was probing an embankment breach in the river and submitted its report earlier this year in March. The floods were caused by a swollen Kosi river, which had changed its course, ravaging and devastating several districts in the state. Slamming the ruling Janata Dal United government for not tabling the report, BJP legislator, Nitin Navin, said he and his party would urge the government to do so. Jul 22, 2014

New Delhi, July 22 (ANI): Delhi police on Tuesday confirmed the arrest of three men accused of killing a Manipuri youth who was beaten to death by a group of unidentified men. 30-year-old Shaloni was beaten to death in the national capital on Sunday, an incident which again raised concerns over security of people from northeastern states. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. On Tuesday, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi assured stringent action in connection with the case. Minced meat Egg Kofta Ingredients Minced meat - 250 gm Onion - 1 finely chopped Ghee - 1 tsp Cinnamon Clove Green chilli - 1 chopped Ginger & garlic paste - 1 tsp Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Salt to taste Chana dal - 1 tbsp Boiled Eggs Boiled potato -3 Mint leaves Coriander leaves Egg - 1 Oil for frying Method: 1. In a pressure cooker add Ghee, Cinnamon, Clove, Onion, Green chill & saute it. Once onion turns transparent add Ginger & garlic paste, Minced meat. 2. Chana dal soaked for an 2 hours, add to the meat & mix it. Add Chilli powder, Turmeric powder, Salt & mix all the ingredients well. 3. Add enough water to just cover the meat & Cook it on medium low. 4. After 5 to 6 whistles, check meat is cooked, If there is any excess water keep the lip open & cook it till the water evaporates. And then, Cool the mixture & remove all spices. 5. Next Step to the meat mixture add Mashed Potato, Mint leaves, Coriander leaves & mix it well. 6. Break the egg into a separate bowl and beat it. 7. Make small patties out of the mixture, place the half of the egg on the patty. Cover up the egg piece by adding some more mixture on the top. 8. Dip this patty into the beaten egg and deep fry it.
