Bull jumps into swimming pool; surprises children practicing for competition

Mandsaur, Sep 10 (ANI): Children practicing for the annual state level swimming competition in Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh received a surprise as a bull suddenly jumped into the pool to join the fun and frolic. Interestingly, instead of being scared, the children were overjoyed to see the bull sharing the pool and swimming with them. According to swimming coach, Vijeta Singh, the children helped the authorities in pulling the bull out of the pool. It took nearly an hour of high drama after the reluctant animal was finally pulled out of the pool, leaving authorities speculating at the source from where the animal entered the premises of the competition. Reportedly, incessant rains since Monday morning (September 08) lead to overflowing of Sardar Sarovar dam. People residing on the banks of River Dhadhar have been asked to exercise caution as heavy rains were forecast in the next 72 hours. Distressed flood victims cry for help as houses collapse in Kashmir

Rajouri, Sep 10 (ANI): Distressed victims of the flood fury in Rajouri district of Kashmir cried for help on Wednesday as they were rendered homeless and heartless with collapsed houses and damaged crops. People of the valley demanded the government to provide free ration and expedite relief operations. On the Indian side of the heavily militarised Line of Control (LoC) that divides the Himalayan region, the city of Srinagar lies submerged along with more than 2,000 villages. Medical camps in Rajouri have been providing first aid and emergency medicines to flood victims. The Indian Air Force air-dropped more than 550 tonnes of relief material and 80 medical teams have established emergency health services in government schools and state-run health care centres. SUZLON and GSPL were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 9.93% and 7.71% along with TORNT POWER and PIPAVAV DEFENCE AND OFFSHORE ENG LTD. with an increase of 6.09% and 5.00% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include GODREJ CONSUMER PRODUCTS LTD. and J&KBANK with a decrease of 5.06% and 4.38% along with INFRATEL and LIC HOUSING FINANCE LTD. with a decrease of 3.29% and 3.20% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 73.05 points at 17,698.89 while the banking sector is down 11.40 points at 18,499.69 and the reality sector is up 10.74 points at 1,770.02. Kerala Liquor ban: SC to hear bar owners plea on Thursday

New Delhi, Sep 10 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Wednesday told the Kerala Government not to enforce its order to ban non-five-star hotel bars till Thursday, when the apex court will hear several petitions challenging the ban. An apex court bench headed by Justice Anil R. Dave asked the Kerala Government to wait till it ruled on the matter. The state government had passed an order banning the sale of liquor at bars and hotels below the five-star category. The ban was to come into force from September 11.
