EC orders FIR against Yogi Adityanath for 'inciting religious enmity'

Lucknow, Sep 11 (ANI): The Election Commission on Thursday ordered Uttar Pradesh Chief Election Officer to file an FIR against BJP MLA Yogi Adityanath for allegedly promoting religious enmity. Adityanath delivered a speech recently designed to incite communal tension, the Commission has found. Reprimanding the MP from Gorakhpur, the poll panel has also written to the controversial leader, warning him to be careful. Adityanath was also listed today along with other leaders from his party in another FIR for defying the state government to hold a rally in Lucknow on Wednesday evening. Sep 11, 2014

Suspected ISI agent arrested by NIA, under judicial custody till 25th September

Chennai, Sep 11 (ANI): National Intelligence Agency (NIA) on Thursday produced Arun Selvaraj, a suspected ISI suspect in the Special Court under POTA at Poonamale, Chennai. He was arrested yesterday in Chennai by NIA. Public Prosecutor CSS Pillai said that Selvaraj is taken under judicial custody till September 25th. The allegations on Selvaraj are assisting in routing terror financing, collecting vital info about defence among others. Selvaraj is a Sri Lankan National and already Sri Lanka Police has issued a look out notice for him. Sep 11, 2014

The incident took place in Malda Medical College and Hospital and deaths have been taking place since past two days. At least 15 newborns have died in past 72 hours. Medical Superintendent-cum-Vice Principal of Malda Medical College and Hospital, Doctor MA Rashid said infants were six hours old and were brought to the hospital in critical condition. New Delhi, Sep 11 (ANI): A clutch of right-wing Hindu groups protested against a Pakistani lifestyle exhibition 'Aalishan Pakistan' on Thursday demanding its cancellation on the grounds that such events cannot go hand-in-hand with Islamabad's support to militant activities in India. Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena had written to Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and Police Commissioner to call off the four-day event. Police detained the protesters as they shouted slogans outside the exhibition venue. President of Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena, Jai Bhagwan Goyal, said that one-sided friendship should end. Vanzara has been in jail since 2007 on charges of having conducted a series of extra-judicial killings while heading the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS). Congress leader Arjun Modhwadia said that the biggest beneficiary of the encounter was the one who is heading the country and the country's largest party at the moment and that the bail doesn't make much difference.
