Politicians cast their votes as polling began in Maharashtra

Mumbai/ Baramati, Oct 15 (ANI): Political leaders from different political parties came out to vote in Maharashtra as voting began for 288 assembly seats in the state. BJP leader Vinod Tawde and Pankaja Munde remained confident and said that BJP will have a clear majority in the polls. NCP leader Nawab Malik and Ajit Pawar came to vote and appealed people to come out and vote in large numbers. Meanwhile, congress leader Kripashankar Singh also came forward and exercised their franchise.

BJP and Congress remain confident of win as Haryana goes to polls

Faridabad/ Rohtak, Oct 15 (ANI): As Haryana went for polls on Wednesday for 90 seats, BJP and Congress remained confident of their win. State Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that Congress will again come to power for the third time. Hooda will cast his vote later in the day. Meanwhile, MoS for Road Transport and BJP leader Krishan Pal Gurjar said that BJP will come to power as people want change.

Polling begun in Maharashtra and Haryana for Assembly seats

Nagpur/ Rewadi/ Mumbai/ Faridabad, Oct 15 (ANI): Amid tight security arrangements, voters queued up to exercise their franchise as polling began on Wednesday for the high-stakes Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana. Voting has begun for the 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra and 90 seats in Haryana. The elections are being seen as the first major test of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's popularity after the Lok Sabha polls. A victory will not only reaffirm Modi's appeal with voters but also silence detractors of his new party leadership, which was blamed for a string of defeats in assembly by-elections that tempered the euphoria of his Lok Sabha triumph. Long queues were already witnessed at polling stations where a number of voters and also high dignitaries came to vote.
