Fire in textile factory in Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur, Nov 2 (ANI): A massive fire broke out in a textile factory in Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh early in the morning on Sunday (November 02). The people living in the vicinity informed the fire department after they saw billows of smoke coming out of the building. No casualty has been reported yet. Two fire tenders reached spot and tried to control the raging inferno in the three-storey building. However, air force personnel had to be called to douse the fire. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. Losses are being estimated to be worth in millions. Meanwhile, local residents blamed the state administration for ill-equipped fire department. Fire safety regulations are lax, rarely implemented and not periodically reviewed in most places across India, which results in the breaking of major fires, resulting in loss of life and material. Talking about the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' he said that more and more people are becoming conscious about the importance of cleanliness. He also informed that his government is trying to make Kendriya Vidyalayas and some government institutions disable friendly. A fund is being allocated for that. Bangalore Rape Case: Principal, Director of school arrested

Bangalore, Nov 02 (ANI): Police arrested the principal and one of the directors of school in Bangalore, over alleged rape of a six-year-old child. A case of negligence was also filed against the institution for not following the guidelines issued for children safety. The child was allegedly raped twice by a school teacher on October 28 and October 29 at the private school in the city. Additional Commissioner of Police for law and order, Alok Kumar said the principal Vaijayanthi and director Pramod Arya were arrested under two sections of the Indian Penal Code and one section under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). He added that both the accused have been booked under Section 21 of the POCSO Act for not informing the police after learning about the incident. Doctors perform rare fetal heart surgery, first in India

Hyderabad, Nov 02 (ANI): Doctors in Hyderabad performed India’s first rare fetal heart surgery, to cure a serious obstruction of the blood vessel. The procedure is a crucial feat that will pave the way for cure and prevention of heart diseases. The surgery was performed on the foetus of a 25 year old lady, Sirisha. An ultrasound scan during her pregnancy showed heart defect in the baby (foetus). She also had undergone minor surgical procedure for gynecological problem to prevent abortion. Doctors performed fetal echocardiogram and found major heart defect in the foetus. There was severe obstruction which was resulting in failure of pumping of blood to the rest of the body. The rare surgery was performed by Chief Pediatric Cardiologist, CARE hospitals, Dr K Nageshwar Rao along with a team of 12 specialists. New Delhi, Nov 02 (ANI): Businessman and son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Robert Vadra lost his cool, and ended up misbehaving with an ANI reporter on Saturday evening after the scribe posed some difficult questions to him over the illegal land deals in Haryana. The ANI reporter and cameramen also have alleged that following the verbal altercation, Vadra's security men also assaulted the crew in an attempt to get the footage deleted. In a statement Vadra later said that he wasn't aware that the reporter was from ANI and thought the question was asked by a private photographer.
