New Delhi, Dec 22 (ANI): Foreign minister Sushma Swaraj said she hoped the non-resident Indians (NRIs) would soon be able to cast votes in the county. Swaraj talked about the long-standing demand of the NRIs while addressing a news conference in New Delhi on Monday, ahead of the Indian Diaspora Day, which will be held in Gujarat. Swaraj added that this year Indian Diaspora Day will mainly focus on Modi's Make in India Campaign and single window clearance in a bid to lure fresh foreign investment in Asia's third largest economy. New Delhi, Dec 22 (ANI): The Rajya Sabha, on Monday adopted a resolution condemning a Pakistan court's decision to grant bail to Mumbai attacks mastermind Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi. There has been widespread protests in India after Lahkhvi was granted bail, two days after Peshawar school attack which killed 132 children and nine staff members. Madonna officially releases songs from new album post online leak

New Delhi, Dec 22 (ANI): Madonna has released six tracks from her latest album titled ' Rebel Heart' after the songs were leaked online. The 56-year-old musician said in a statement that she would prefer her fans to hear completed versions of some of the songs instead of the incomplete tracks that are circulating, a U.K based TV network reported. The Queen of Pop asked these six songs to consider as an early Christmas gift. The American songstress also took to Instagram to thank everyone for not listening to her leaked music. After eradicating Polio, Bachchan stands up to eradicate 'TB' from India

Mumbai, Dec 22 (ANI): Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan joined hands with government of Maharashtra to launch an anti-Tuberculosis (TB) campaign. The anti-TB campaign has been titled 'TB Harega, Desh Jeetega'. The campaign involves a range of multimedia content aimed at generating awareness about prevention, timely diagnosis and treatment of TB. According to an annual report of Federal TB Division, titled 'TB India 2014', India accounted for one fourth of the total TB cases in the world. Bachchan, who has been made brand ambassador for the campaign, revealed that he himself was a victim of TB in the past. Also present at the event were the state Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, and chief of Hindu right wing Shiv Sena party, Uddhav Thackeray. According to estimates, almost 40 per cent of the Indian population is infected with TB bacteria out of which a vast majority suffers from latent rather than active TB. Every year in India, TB infects around 2.3 million people and kills 300,000. Bachchan is also the goodwill ambassador for polio UNICEF campaign. As a part of this initiative, Bachchan campaigned extensively encouraging people to ensure that their children get Polio drops regularly.
