BJP confident of winning Chhattisgarh again: Raman Singh

Raipur, Oct 05 (ANI): Hoping for peaceful elections in the state, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would definitely form the government again. Earlier on Friday Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath announced the polling dates for five states, including Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Mizoram. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruled Chhattisgarh would be the first state to go to polls.

CAG report on Gujarat exposes Modi's tall claims: CPI

New Delhi, Oct 05 (ANI): Reacting to CAG report that has stated that every third child in Gujarat is underweight, CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta on Saturday said that if Gujarat Chief minister Narendra Modi is unable to take care of malnutrition in his state then how he will solve poverty issues of the country if he becomes the Prime Minister. Speaking to mediapersons in New Delhi, he also said that the report exposes Modi's tall claims.

Keran sector infiltration by Pak Army violation of Indias territorial integrity: JKNPP

Srinagar, Oct 05 (ANI): Responding on what is proving to be the biggest infiltration bid across the Line of Control (LoC) in the recent past, Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party Leader Harsh Dev Singh said that the infiltration is done by the regular Pakistan Army and that this is a violation of India’s territorial integrity. He further said that the supplies coming from the back to the infiltrators proves that they belong to the Pak Army. Singh also demanded action from the state as well as central government.

CAG says every third child in Gujarat underweight, JD (U) slams Modi

New Delhi, Oct 05 (ANI): Talking about the CAG report on Gujarat which speaks of malnourished and underweight children in the State, Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal said that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi should take care of Gujarat first and then think about the country. The CAG report came even when Modi is giving examples of and iis bragging about the Gujarat model of development in the country. Talking about BJP's search for an ally, Agarwal said that it is very evident from this only that when a party is searching for an ally instead of getting an ally, how strong or weak it might be. Agarwal also rubbished the 'Modi affect' and said that there is no Modi factor for public as such.

Naveen Patnaik not happy with idea of either Narendra Modi or Rahul Gandhi: BJD

New Delhi, Oct 05 (ANI): After Odisha Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik said that he is not ‘comfortable’ with the idea of Narendra Modi as the PM of the country, BJD leader Bhartruhari Mahtab said that Patnaik is not happy with either Modi or Rahul Gandhi as they do not have the idea what India represents. Gujarat CAG report: None states under BJP in good condition, says Rita Bahuguna

New Delhi, Oct 05 (ANI): After the CAG in Gujarat said in its report that every third child in the state is underweight, President of Congress unit in UP, Rita Bahuguna said that BJP is expert in lying and that none of the states under its governance is in a good situation. Further, Bahuguna said that there is no scope of growth in the state and that dalits and tribals are in pathetic condition in the state. She also said that BJP does false advertisements to befool people.

Bangladesh academician points at enmity between BNPand Awami League ahead of elections

Dhaka, Oct 05 (ANI): As tensions mounted ahead of the general elections, Bangladesh academician, Fakrul Alam, said on Friday that the politics of the country was based on the enmity between the two leading political parties, the ruling Awami League led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the Bangladesh National Party (BNP) headed by Begum Khaleda Zia. Alam also said that a caretaker government was no longer possible under the present constitution. Alam also said that the government led by Hasina was inclined to promote Islam.

Telangana row: Jaganmohan Reddy to begin indefinite fast from today

Vishakhapatnam, Oct 05 (ANI): YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy will launch an indefinite fast in Hyderabad from Saturday in protest against the decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh by carving out a Telangana state. Reddy will fast in front of the YSR Congress office and urge the central government to withdraw its decision. Reddy's party is expecting a massive turnout for the protest fast from the other two regions of the state, Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra Pradesh, jointly known as "Seemandhra".
