Dinajpur, Oct 3 (ANI): Troops of India's paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF), stationed along the India-Bangladesh border, celebrated Diwali and exchanged sweets with security personnel of Bangladesh. Border guards posted at southern Dinajpur under Darjeeling district of West-Bengal presented a box of sweets to their opposite members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). The jawans lighted up candles, earthen lamps and burst crackers. There was huge sense of enjoyment and enthusiasm among the jawans to observe the auspicious occasion as their primary duty is to maintain the security and peace in the border areas. Gonojagoron Mancha demands execution of death sentence for war criminals

Dhaka, Nov 3 (ANI): The activists of Bangladesh's Gonojagoron Mancha are demanding execution of death sentence for 1971 war criminals. The activists participated in a rally in Dhaka to highlight their demand for quick execution of the tried criminals. Blood-letting erupted across the country at the end of February when the war crimes tribunal gave death sentence to a top leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami. Earlier on October 09, Bangladesh's war crimes tribunal handed a life sentence to Alim, a former opposition lawmaker. The 82-year-old was found guilty on nine charges relating to crimes against humanity, arson and looting during Bangladesh's 1971 War of Independence. Nov 3, 2013

Speeding train kills 8 in Andhra Pradesh

Vizag, Nov 3 (ANI): A speeding train in Andhra Pradesh ran over eight passengers of another train as the victims hurried down from their train due to alleged rumour of fire on Saturday. The passengers travelling in the train enroute ‘Dhanbad-Allapuza’ were run over by the Rayagada-Vijayawada fast passenger. One of the passengers said that as the rumours spread, passengers got scared and pulled the chain of the train, bringing it to a halt and they got down from the train from both sides. And another train, which was coming from the right side, ran over the passengers. A top official of the Railways confirmed the death toll.
