Security beefed up ahead of Modi's rally in Pune

Pune, Nov 01 (ANI): The security personnel have made tight security arrangements for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's rally in Pune on Friday against the backdrop of Sunday's serial blasts in Patna. According to reports, Modi, who will arrive around 1.30 p.m., will be received by Maharashtra BJP chief Devendra Fadnavis. Several other senior Maharashtra BJP leaders will also be present at today's rally. Six people were killed and 83 injured in the low intensity blasts that rocked Patna between 9.30 a.m. and 12.45 p.m. on Sunday shortly before Modi's address to a 'Hunkar rally' in Gandhi Maidan.

Rahul Gandhi's comments were extremely shocking: Katiyar on EC notice

New Delhi, Nov 01 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vinay Katiyar on Friday welcomed the Election Commission's move to issue a notice to Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi for his speeches in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, and said the latter's comments were extremely shocking. The Election Commission has issued a notice to Rahul Gandhi for his speeches in Churu, Rajasthan on October 23 and Indore, Madhya Pradesh on October 24. The poll body has asked the Congress number two to explain by Monday why action should not be initiated against him for prima facie violating the Model Code of Conduct. The Election Commission notice also says that in case no reply is received within the prescribed time limit it will be presumed that he has nothing to say and the commission will proceed to take appropriate action without any further reference.

The famous business family has planned to celebrate the occasion in Jodhpur on a grand scale for two days. The guest-list for this classy and high-end party also included the name of Cricket maestro, Sachin Tendulkar. In the party, many celebrities would meet Tendulkar for the first time after he announced his retirement. Bollywood superstar, Aamir Khan, said that he would convey his love for Sachin, when he meets him at the party. Meanwhile, acclaimed filmmaker, Shekhar Kapur, who was excited to meet the Ambani-clan, said that his old friend, Mukesh Ambani, had always remained unchanged to fame and success in life.

Patna blasts: Main suspect Tariq dies

Patna, Nov 01 (ANI): Ainul alias Tarique, a terror suspect who was injured in the Patna blasts, died on Friday at a government hospital. Ainul, the second suspect, was apprehended while he was crying in pain at the Patna railway junction toilet soon after a bomb which he was trying to fit with a timer exploded. Six of the seven blasts took place at Patna's Gandhi Maidan on October 27. The seventh explosion was at the railway station.
