Moto E Vs Moto E (Second Gen) Based On Rumored Specs; Is It Worth Upgrading?
Moto E Vs Rumored Moto E (Second Generation); Specs Compared Side by SideMotorola

Motorola in collaboration with Flipkart has reportedly sold more Moto E units than the company's popular mid-range smartphone Moto G in India.

According to technology blog, AndroidOS.in, Motorola sold a record 2.85 lac units since its release last month, more than double the company's best selling (in global market) Moto G. Flipkart reportedly sold close to 1.40 lac units of the mid-range phone in the first month of its debut.

Despite having slow sales on day one (it took more than 16 hours to get sold out), demand for Moto E is growing steadily since its release on 14 May in India. Flipkart has re-launched Moto E more than 10 times and on all occasion, the device got sold out within few hours. The e-commerce website is having hard time managing stocks in its inventory with the budget phone units flying off the shelves in no time.

Whereas, Flipkart sold a record 20,000 Moto G smartphones on day one (6 February), and went on to ship more than 142,000 units in the first month. Currently, only Black units of 16GB (₹13,999) and 8GB (₹12,499) models with 10 percent cash-back offer (select credit cards only) are available for purchase.

Surprisingly, on Monday (16 June) the e-commerce site (for the nth time) has begun taking orders for Moto E, both Black and White variants in India (at the time of the reporting). Interested buyers can log in to Flipkart page to get real-time update on the availability of the Moto Stocks, click here (for black), here (for white).

The huge popularity of the Moto E has forced domestic brands to go on a launching spree to flood the market with phones having similar specifications. So far, more than five Android KitKat OS powered budget devices have hit the market since the launch of Moto E, three (Unite 2 , Canvas Engage A019 and Canvas A105) from local leader, Micromax; one each from its sister firms - Lava (Iris X1) and Xolo (Q600s) and Celkon Campus A35K just got released last week. It is touted as the cheapest KitKat OS based smartphone in India. [For more information, click here]
