Mobile division of the technology giant Microsoft is reportedly planning to launch new Lumia 640 series smartphones in India.
The company has begun sending out invites to select media outlets for an event scheduled on 7 April in New Delhi.
The invitation (courtesy, BGR India) reads: "Inspiration doesn't only work 9 to 5" and shows-offs a part of an Orange hued smartphone display. It does not give away any clue on the significance of the upcoming event, but the phone's curvy design on the edge does look identical to the recently unveiled Lumia 640 and 640 XL.
Moreover, Microsoft considers India as one of its priority smartphone market. Since the beginning of 2015 (and also in the second-half of 2014), the company has been quick in releasing newly unveiled smartphones such as Lumia 435 and 535, the most recent being the Lumia 532.
Windows Central too have claimed that Lumia 640 will be released via online store this month in India.
It has learnt that the Lumia 640 has been listed in the Flipkart's April commission payouts under the exclusive category, suggesting Flipkart will be the exclusive online seller of Lumia 640 in the subcontinent.
